In January 2023 I took part in a group exhibition titled ‘Predmet” (meaning "Object”) in which seven artists explored the multifaceted concept of an object.

My interpretation, Purity & Hypervigilance, delves into the effects of post-traumatic OCD and the intense feelings of disgust that accompany it. My work examines how a sense of betrayal can lead to an overwhelming need for cleanliness, purity, simplicity, and order. Central to my experience is the concept of hypervigilance - the act of subconsciously always anticipating danger.

The first two paintings focus on bedsheets; the other two feature a whiskey bottle. Purity & Hypervigilance is an invitation to notice the objects in our lives that hold the power to reveal truth to us.
